Kushal's excellent batting,Nepal's impressive victory over Oman

Nepal also won the second match of the ACC Men's Premier Cricket Cup.

On Friday, Nepal won a brilliant victory over Oman by 84 runs in the match at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

After losing 9 wickets in 46.3 overs, Oman's number 11 batsman did not come to bat due to injury and Oman was bowled out for 226 runs.

Kushal Malla scored a record century in Nepal's victory. He scored a total of 108 runs and scored a century in 69 balls. Having scored the first hundred in his one-day career, he has also set the record for the player who scored the fastest century in one-day internationals for Nepal. He hit 9 fours and 10 sixes while scoring a century.

Similarly, Sompal Kami also contributed 63 runs with excellent batting. He played 48 balls and hit 9 fours. Bhim Sarki scored 33 runs while Arif Shaikh and Karan KC added 29 runs each.

After losing the toss and batting first, Nepal made a huge total of 310 runs in the scheduled 50 overs.

Batting in response, Oman could only score runs at the loss of a wicket in the over. Mahomed Nadeem top scored for Oman with 65 runs. Sandeep Goud scored 46 runs while opener Kakshep Prajapati added 25 runs.

Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took 3 wickets for Nepal. Along with taking a wicket in today's match, Sandeep has also set a record for the fastest player to take 100 wickets in ODIs. Earlier this record was held by Afghanistan's Rashid Khan.

Rashid took 100 wickets from 44 matches. Sandeep has made a record by taking hundred wickets from 42 matches.

Now Nepal will play their next match against Saudi Arabia on 11th Baisakh. The match will be played at Mulpani Cricket Ground.

The competition will be held from May 5 to May 18 at the Trivi Maidan and Mulpani Maidan in Kirtipur.

In which Nepal is in Group 'A'. Nepal's group includes Oman, Qatar, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Group B consists of UAE, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and Bahrain.

The top two teams from the group will advance to the semi-finals. The winning team of the tournament will be selected for the Asia Cup to be held in September.

The Asia Cup will be contested between the 5 test nations of Asia and the winner of the ACC Premier Cup. Group A of the Asia Cup will feature India, Pakistan and the winner of the Premier Cup, while Group B will feature Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
