Argentina entered the semi-finals of the World Cup after defeating the Netherlands in a penalty shootout

Argentina has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.In the second quarter-final on Friday night, Argentina reached the last four by defeating the Netherlands in a penalty shootout with a 4-3 goal difference.

After the scheduled 90 minutes and 30 minutes of extra time, the match ended in a 2-2 draw and went to a penalty shootout. Argentina won the penalty.

Then Weghorst scored his second personal goal in the injury time and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. He scored a goal from a clever free kick by Kupminers.

Now Argentina will face Croatia in the semi-finals. Croatia has reached the last four by defeating Brazil in the penalty shootout. The Netherlands is out of the competition.
