Nepal has been selected for the Asia Cup along with the ACC Premier Cup title

Becoming the champion of the ACC Men's Premier Cup, Nepal has qualified for the Asia Cup.

After defeating UAE by 7 wickets in the final held at TU ground on Tuesday, Nepal remained undefeated and became the champion.

For Nepal, Gulshan Jha played a half-century of 67 runs in 84 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. Gulson completed his second fifty in ODIs off 75 balls.

Gulshan shared an unbeaten partnership of 92 runs for the fourth wicket with Bhim Sarki. Bhima was unbeaten on 36 runs off 72 balls.

Both the openers of Nepal, who did not get off to a good start, got out cheaply. Opener Kushal Bhurtel was caught LBW by Rohan Mustafa in the second over.

Another opener, Asif Shaikh, was dismissed for 8 runs by Ayan Khan. Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel was bowled out for 1 run by Rohan Mustafa.

Rohan Mustafa took 2 wickets and Ayan Khan took 1 wicket for UAE.

Nepal achieved the target of 118 runs given by UAE by losing 3 wickets in 30 overs.

Before that, UAE, who lost the toss and batted first, lost 9 wickets in 3 overs and scored 106. The match was stopped due to rain.

UAE lost their last wicket by adding 11 runs as the match started today from a halt. Lalit Narayan Rajvanshile took the last wicket for Nepal.

UAE scored 117 runs after losing 10 wickets in 33 overs.

For UAE, Asif Khan scored 54 runs off 54 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. Khan was caught by wicket-keeper Asif Shaikh on a delivery from Lalit narayan Rajbanshi.

Opener Aryan Lakra scored 23 runs off 28 balls. Wasil Hamid and Asif Khan shared a partnership of 39 runs for the sixth wicket.

Wasil scored 10 runs off 27 balls. Captain and opener Muhammad Wasim scored 11 runs in 8 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six.

For Nepal, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi took 4 wickets at the cost of 14 runs in 7 ten or 1 overs. Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took 2/2 wickets and Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami took 1/1 wickets.

With this title, Nepal has qualified for the Asia Cup after 21 years. Nepal previously qualified for the Asia Cup in 2002.

Nepal will play against India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

In the Asia Cup, home team Pakistan, India and Premier Cup winner will be in Group A and Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in Group B.

After playing against each other in the group stage, the top two teams will play the Super Four. The top two teams will play in the final. The Asia Cup will be held in September.
