Juventus have been knocked out this year after losing at home to Spanish club Villarreal.

Gerard Moreno, Pau Torres and Arnaut Danjuma all scored in Villarreal's win on Wednesday night.
Despite a goalless draw in the first half at the Allianz Stadium, the home team lost the momentum in the last 12 minutes of the second half.
Gerard Moreno scored in the 78th minute of a highly competitive game to give Villarreal an early lead. After Rugani fouled Francis Coquilin in the penalty box, the referee awarded Villarreal a penalty with the help of a VAR.

In the second minute of injury time, Arnaut Danzuma scored from the penalty spot to seal Juventus' comfortable victory. The referee awarded Villarreal a second penalty in the game after Matthias de Leggett fouled Danjuma.
Juventus were forced out of the playoffs when a draw was enough to reach the quarterfinals. The first leg match ended in a 1-1 draw. Juventus were knocked out of the knockout stages of the Champions League, losing 4–1 on aggregate.
