Kushal's brilliant century leads to Nepal's record win against Namibia

Nepal defeated Namibia in the triangular one-day international series of the ICC World Cup Cricket League Two.

Nepal defeated Namibia by 2 wickets in the match held at TU Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

Nepal beat Namibia for the first time in a one-day international. Nepal defeated Namibia in the fifth match.

Nepal completed the target of 285 runs given by Namibia by losing 8 wickets in 47 overs 4 balls.

This is the biggest goal achieved by Nepal in ODI. Earlier, Nepal had completed the target of 254 runs given by UAE.

Kushal Bhurtel played a record century innings in Nepal's victory. Bhurtel played a century of 115 runs with the help of 10 fours and 4 sixes in 113 balls. This is Kushal's first hundred in ODI.

Bhurtel is the third Nepali player to score a century in T20I and ODI. Earlier, Paras Khadka and Dipendra Singh Airee scored centuries in both. Kushal is also the first opener of Nepal to score a century in ODI.

Similarly, captain Rohit Paudel scored 72 runs off 76 balls. Rohit hit 7 fours and 3 sixes.

Sandeep jora scored 28 runs off 24 balls. He hit 3 fours and 1 six.

Former captain Gyanendra Malla made 25 off 35 balls. Karan KC scored 20 runs off 12 balls. Sandeep Lamichhane Golden Duck was out. Ruvel Trumpelman and Jan Nicol of Kushal's century is a great victory for Nepal took 3 wickets each.

Before that, Namibia, who lost the toss and batted first, scored 2 runs for 85 runs in the last ball.

His Mitchell Bhan played a century innings of 133 runs off 137 balls. He hit 9 fours and 5 sixes.

Captain Gerhard Erasmus played a half-century innings of 56 runs off 79 balls. John Green scored 34 runs.

Nepal's Karan KC took 5 wickets with 61 runs in 10 overs. This is Karan's third 5-wicket haul in ODIs. Karan is the first Nepali player to take three five wickets in ODIs.

Former captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 3 wickets. Lamichhane, who returned to the field after 6 months, spent 66 runs in 10 overs. Sompal Kami and Kushal Malla took 1/1 wicket each.

In the series, Nepal is in the sixth position with 20 points in 25 matches. Namibia is third with 37 points from 31 matches.

In the second match of the series, Nepal will play against Scotland on February 5.

Similarly, Nepal will play the second match against Namibia on February 6 and will play against Scotland on February 9.
